About Cal.net

Cal.net is a California-based Internet Service Provider, and a certificated public utility in the State of California.  Our mission is to deliver high-speed Internet services to the rural parts of the State, focusing especially on those areas comprising over one million residents and small businesses that have historically lacked access to adequate Internet connectivity.  The company was formed in 1997, and began delivering broadband through its own infrastructure facilities in 2005 via outdoor long-range fixed wireless technology at first, and now by fiber as well.  To help support our mission, we have been awarded over $90 million in grants and subsidies from both the State of California and the federal government, enabling us to reach deeper into the rural areas and accelerate our deployment of services there.  Visit us on the Web at https://www.cal.net .
