Setting up Email in Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Click on Tools at the top of the window, and choose Account Settings.
  2. In the bottom left corner of the screen, click on Account Actions, then Add Mail Account.
  3. Type in your Name, Email Address, and Password, then click Continue.
  4. Click on Manual Config in the lower left hand corner.
  5. Click on IMAP and change it to POP3.
  6. Under Server Hostname, make sure both the Incoming and Outgoing lines say ‘’
  7. For the Outgoing Port, type in 1025.
  8. Under SSL, both Incoming and Outgoing should be ‘None’.
  9. Do not adjust any other fields.  Click Re-test, and when that is complete, click Done.
  10. Check the box that says ‘I understand the risks’ and click Done.
  11. You’re finished!
