A little song about the great mythical winged stallion Pegasus, as Buddy Holly might have written it. This was actually inspired by a Quantum Leap episode.

PEGASUS

(to tune of "Peggy Sue", Buddy Holly)

Pegasus, Pegasus,
WingĖd stallion, gift of Zeus,
Golden bridled for my use,
My Pegasus !

Proud I ride, thy bounding stride,
Soaring , glorying, godlike glide,
Til gadfly's sent to sting thy hide,
Rebuke my pride !

At that sting, buck and fling,
I, falling, calling , bid thee wing
Back to that PiĖrian spring
Where poets sing !

Pegasus, Pegasus,
WingĖd stallion, loved by Zeus,
Free, unbridled, great cayuse,
Oh, Pegasus !
