The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Davis holds Sunday morning services at 10 o'clock throughout the year. A Sunday School for children and young adults up to the age of 20 is held at the same hour. Visitors to our Sunday School will be invited to join with others their age in small classes with an experienced teacher in each class. There they will learn how to apply the truths found in the Bible to the challenges we all face during our growing up years. If it is their first experience in a Chrisitan Science Sunday School they will learn something of the theology practiced by Christian Scientists. Free discussion of the ideas brought up in the class is encouraged.
Our Sunday church services consist of readings from the King James Bible on a specific subject with correlative readings from our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by the Founder of our church, Mary Baker Eddy. This lesson-sermon is the same one read in all branch churches of Christ, Scientist throughout the world on that Sunday.
A Testimony Meeting is held every Wednesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. On that evening, in addition to short readings from the Bible and Science and Health on relevant topics, time is set aside for the sharing by members of the congregation of healings experienced by prayer and study of the Bible and our textbook.
A child care room is available with attendant(s) for children too young to attend Sunday School or our church services.
