LEARN HOW TO:
- Effectively walk in snowshoes
- Read a topography map
- Walk up hill and down hill in snowshoes
- Identify avalanche danger for safety in the back country
- Basic back country safety techniques
- Identify landmarks in the wilderness
- Have fun with the entire family in the snow
- Proper equipment for winter hikes in variable conditions

Carol Hannagan is a wilderness expert. She offers her skill as a wilderness guide in survival training, backpacking skill, hikes in Northern California and Switzerland, and has served as search and rescue volunteer in Northern California for many years. Come learn from an expert how to have fun and be safe while hiking in the winter. Stretch your hiking season to a full 12 months.
